From sizzling kebabs and slow cooked nihari to aromatic biryani, this is Pakistani halal food that tastes like home, whether you are feeding three people or catering for a thousand.

How It Started
A Kitchen Built On Stubborn Love
Farheen and Syed Iqbal left careers in Islamic banking and economics in Karachi and started cooking for Dallas out of their own apartment. Everything since has been built on that.
Karachi To Dallas
Farheen and Syed leave Islamic banking and economics behind in Karachi and start Dallas Terka with one idea: real Pakistani food, cooked properly, for a city that had not tasted it yet.
One Apartment Kitchen
It began modestly but ambitiously, out of a small apartment kitchen, catering local events. Farheen ran the cooking: Chicken Karahi, Biryani, Shahi Zarda, all from her own recipes.
Word Got Around
No shortcuts, no substitutes. Zabiha halal meat, genuine Pakistani spices and traditional recipes. Guests told other guests, and the catering orders kept getting bigger.
A Richardson Kitchen
Over one hundred and fifty dishes across thirteen sections, catering from three persons up to a thousand guests, still cooked by the same family that started it.
